Flathead Flathead

Rather than just a much updated version of the Model A, Ford launched a completely new model for 1932. It had the new flathead V-8 engine and was the first low-priced, mass produced and marketed car to have a V8 engine, an important milestone in American automotive history. Timedrivers interpretation of this classic engine features a flat black dial offset by the taupe grey tick marks and numbers. The generous 47 mm stainless steel bezel is finned and features an "as cast" finish and polished "acorn" nuts - just like an aftermarket cylinder head. The polished crown is in the shape of the acorn nut as well. The bezel firmly retains the scratch resistant mineral glass crystal and the medium grain brown leather strap with white stitching and  matt finish stainless steel buckle makes this a special watch. The Japanese quartz movement, featuring an hours, minutes and seconds function is shock resistant and the watch itself is waterproof to 30 meters.
